A Big Welcome to Nell

After a rather turbulent day – moving the entire herd back home for treatment against flies and pink eye – we were rewarded tonight with a beautiful surprise: the birth of Nell, a fast and feisty little heifer calf.
Her mother, Oldtown Frances, handled it like a pro, and Nell was on her feet in no time. Strong, alert, and full of spirit.
Tomorrow, the whole gang heads back out to pasture – and Nell will join them for her very first day in the field.
Life on the farm. Never dull.
